IF IT'S ILLEGAL TO ROCK AND ROLL....

THEN THROW MY ASS IN JAIL!

In the 1980s Superior Rawk Power was born. Before
there was Sweet Water, there was Shot Gun Mama. Sadly,
the musical greatness of this legendary band - which
helped usher in the heyday of Seattle music - had
previously been preserved only on scratchy demo tapes
tucked away in your safety deposit box.

Now that has all changed. Thanks to the boys from
Sweet Water, we now have many of the SGM classics
available in digital format, so sit back, turn your
speakers up to 11, and enjoy the raw beauty of this
early incarnation of Seattle rock perfection.

finally, you can write Sweetwater4ever@gmail.com for a
copy of the SGM CD. Donations are welcome; all
procedes go to Sweet Water.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the muthafuckin' hiatus is
over!!

Do you want to be RICH?!

This was posted as a comment on the Superfriends post but I felt like the story deserved front page status.

"How about that time when Rich Amaral came into the game against the Yankees and Junior was on 1st and "Do You Want To Be Rich" is playing but they can't figure out how to turn it off -- in fact it only gets LOUDER -- then Rich hits a double and Junior slides in..."

My Brother in Rock

email from Paul Uhlir - drummer from Sweet Water

Thanks Paul. The Sweet Water Forever group is currently based in New York City so we will be at all the sessions in spirit, eagerly awaiting what they yield.

Maintain the rock.

We're not like the rest of you slaughtered cows...

Superfriends may be the most underrated Sweetwater album ever. Sure, there was dissapointed when "Superstar" never became the #1 radio hit that fans expected it to be, and given its timely release in 1995 during the waning years of grunge, many (this blogger included) expected Superfriends to be the seminal album of the post-grunge era. Listen to the final track on the album, "Win", and remember how you felt the first time you heard "you and me are different from the world..."

oh yeah, and check here for some nice reviews of "Superfriends" and worthy tributes to our heros from Sea-town - Superfriends on Amazon
heck you can even buy the album for 1 cent if it somehow dissapeared from your CD collection over the years...

. . NOTHING WILL EVER CHANGE!"
Keepin' my head down! An awesome display of long hair and electrifying riffs. Rawk On! YouTube is killing.
(note: some bastard removed this video from You Tube, therefore we've replaced it with the equally classic video for "Superstar", cerca 1995 - sweetwater4ever crew
